SEQUOÏA was created in 2015 with the goal of assisting small African businesses and productive groups acquire and master technologies that are adapted to their context.
The contribution of the forest sector to GDP is crucial in Africa, despite a largely untapped potential (only 10% of harvested wood is valued commercially in Africa).
Moreover Africa has the youngest workforce worldwide and the demand for quality wooden furnitures has sky-rocketed in the last ten years with the expansion of the local construction industry. The wood craft sector will decrease unemployment for years to come.
